Section 1

Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to closingrank.com, the Closing Rank website, and the Closing Rank digital NEET UG counselling guidance platform.

Closing Rank is operated by Blesho Thambi Raj, Individual, at 5/47, Azhaganparai, Manavalkurichi, Tamil Nadu 629252, India.

Section 2

Data we may collect

• Optional name, email address, mobile number, and counselling details that users choose to provide, plus login and authentication records needed to secure an account.
• Payment/order identifiers, Razorpay order IDs, Razorpay payment IDs, payment status, access-pass status, and refund/support records.
• Usage, device, browser, security, analytics, and diagnostic data.
• Counselling-related inputs entered by users, such as rank, score, category, quota, state, preferences, selected colleges or courses, and search/filter activity.
• Support communications and information users choose to send for access, payment, privacy, refund, or grievance requests.

Section 3

Account contacts and sign-in methods

One verified phone OTP, Google, or email OTP method is sufficient to use an account. A second method and profile contact details are optional unless a specific feature clearly explains why it needs them.

A phone number or email entered by a user or received as Razorpay payer contact remains unverified account information. It is not used for sign-in, account recovery, account linking, or authorization unless the user separately completes the relevant OTP or provider verification.

Closing Rank does not merge accounts merely because contact text matches. Sensitive sign-in-method changes require recent verification, and possible identity collisions are held for review without revealing another account's information.

Because mobile numbers may be reassigned, a phone-only account returning after a long period may enter a restricted restoration process. Old profile, payment, counselling, and access-pass data remains hidden until ownership is safely resolved; confirmed new owners receive a new account and never inherit the old user's data or paid access.

How we use data

• Create and manage accounts when login is available.
• Provide product access, verify payments, and manage the digital access pass.
• Respond to customer support, access, refund, privacy, and grievance requests.
• Improve reliability, usability, security, counselling guidance, and product quality.
• Prevent fraud, account sharing, scraping, abuse, unauthorized resale, and security incidents.
• Meet legal, tax, accounting, compliance, audit, dispute-handling, and record-keeping requirements.

Section 5

Payments and Razorpay

When payments are live, payments will be processed through Razorpay or another payment processor shown at checkout.

Closing Rank does not store card numbers, UPI PINs, CVV, net banking passwords, or payment instrument credentials. Payment processors may process those details under their own terms and privacy practices.

Section 6

Cookies and analytics

Closing Rank may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, browser storage, and similar technologies to operate the website, secure sessions, remember preferences, support payments, measure performance, and understand basic product usage.

The public website uses Vercel Web Analytics for basic site analytics and does not use advertising trackers. If optional analytics, marketing tools, login cookies, or payment-related cookies are added later, this policy will be updated where required.

Users can usually block, delete, or limit cookies through browser settings. Some necessary cookies or similar technologies may be required for login, access control, payment flow support, fraud prevention, or security once those features are available.

Section 7

Sharing and service providers

Closing Rank may share information with service providers only as needed to operate, secure, support, or improve the service.

• Razorpay and payment processors for payment verification, refunds, and dispute handling.
• Hosting, database, authentication, analytics, support, security, and infrastructure providers.
• Legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, or government authorities when required by applicable law or lawful requests.

Section 8

Data retention

Account, payment, access, support, security, and compliance records may be retained as long as needed for service delivery, tax, legal, fraud prevention, audit, accounting, and dispute-handling purposes.

Users may request access, correction, deletion, or support through support@closingrank.com. Some records may need to be retained where required by law, accounting rules, security needs, or dispute handling.

Section 9

Children and guardians

Many NEET UG users may be under 18. Students under 18 should use Closing Rank with involvement or consent from a parent or legal guardian, especially for paid access, saved profiles, counselling inputs, and support requests.

Section 10

Security

Closing Rank uses reasonable safeguards to protect personal data, access records, and support communications. No internet service can guarantee 100% security.

Users should not send OTPs, passwords, card details, UPI PINs, bank passwords, CVV, or unrelated sensitive information by email or phone.

Section 11

Updates and contact

Closing Rank may update this Privacy Policy as the product, law, payment flow, or support process changes.
